My friend and erstwhile colleague Denise (who I lovingly refer to as Deeznütz) pointed me to this page of Peter Funch’s work at v1 Gallery, who have shown/repped Futura 2000, among others. Nice observation and quiet commentary on life and people around NYC, almost as if you were to look out at a street scene and pressed a magic “sort by” button that filtered out everything that didn’t fit with a certain attribute. september 10 show made me want to kill steve pilgrim, paul’s new drummer. I was not alone, as there were chants of “sack the drummer!”, but he and the band redeemed themselves on the 11th.
