I’m conducting an experiment this week that hopes to answer two questions:
1. Will I die without my iPhone? (I think I might.)
2. Why do people love their stupid Blackberries so much?
The iPad simulator in the SDK doesn’t come with a browser, so I whipped one up really quickly in xcode so I could see what a site would look like, in this case Facebook. Also a quick little look at what else comes stock with the simulator (which isn’t much).
Can’t wait to get my hands on a real iPad. 3g or not to 3g? That, my friends, is the question.
Augmented reality Is finally here in the form of the Yelp iPhone app. You need the iPhone 3gs to use it and the latest version of the app (new on the app store today) and voilà, you can walk around with a live view of… well… life (but with overlays of nearby bars and restaurants). Suck it, blackberry!
I have absolutely no use for this, but the fact that you can use your iPhone as control vinyl to power your Serato/Traktor/Torq/Deckadance setup just blows me away. Suck it, Blackberry!
Live, from the future! I am on a Virgin America flight from JFK-LAX and am wordpressing from the sky in between helpings of Glenlivet 12 on the rocks. Unfortunately, they don’t carry ABC on the tv’s here so I can’t watch the Lakers/Magic NBA Finals Game 1 and have to resort to @russbengtson and the espn.com coverage.
Hulu works, YouTube works, ichat works, facebook works, i am loving it.
