Dwell Magazine Back Issues in Google Books

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Wow, how ’bout that, I am reblogging a retweet. How meta of me. Seeing as how you can’t very well view this in your mobile browser, I thought it was worth a reblog. Also, I am an unabashed Dwell fanboy, so shoot me.

RT @cacophonyart Wow, I can’t believe this find. All back issues of Dwell from Oct 00-Nov 08 that you can read online. http://tiny.cc/cdMmL (via @saymayday)

Also, look at our kid DJ Greyboy on the cover of the July/August 2007 issue: (while you’re at it, you can read the whole damn thing)

Chris Cole on the BMX

Saturday, September 26, 2009

Chris Cole Smith, originally uploaded by Bama Tnez.

Corey Martinez behind the lens and pro skater Chris Cole on some smith grind action. If I was a skater, i would probably be irritated by bmx’ers calling this a smith grind. Actually, I was a skater back when this bmx grind came into being and I was ecstatic.

Kids are stupid.

Sidehacks #1, thanks Fantasy Factory!

Wow, so the Fantasy Factory episode featuring homies Greyboy and Truly oDd (and Dave Mirra and Jim Bauer and Francis De La Pena and Keith Mulligan and Fuzzy Hall) was on tonight, and now “sidehack” is the #1 hot trend on Google right now. WTF, that’s awesome. Grey and Truly have been doing this sidehack thing for a while and I’m super stoked to see them get some recognition and furthermore, some tangible interest. I can’t wait to be able to buy one of those sidehacks, even though I have to go to walmart to get one. Follow @impaktbmx and @herculesbmx on twitter to find out the latest in the sidehack world. And whatnot. Click here to see a sweet promo from last year for Hercules Sidehacks, their higher end sidehack company.

Apropos of nothing, here is me and Greyboy crashing on a sidehack.  I was going to go fly out for the Fantasy Factory shoot but ended up having to work. That’s probably fine because I probably would have killed myself.

Absolutely no credit check for those who have “less than sparkling credit” and yet can afford a luxury vehicle. BOOOM!

Just had Kogi BBQ in NYC (and you didn’t).

Monday, June 8, 2009

Sooooo… since LA’s much-hyped Kogi BBQ is in NYC for the Citymeals on Wheels fundraiser, and they realize that many people would a) like to try their Korean BBQ meets Taco Truck fare but b) probably doesn’t have $1200 to spend on a fundraiser if they’re eating at friggin’ taco trucks, they teamed up with one of NY’s mobile food purveyors, The Dessert Truck. From 12-1 today, they had a $4 combo tasting plate on offer–Kimchi Quesadilla paired with a Chocolate Mousse with a PB center garnished with caramel popcorn.

I arrived maybe 20 minutes early and there were 40 people in line already. By the time noon rolled around, there were easily 200 people in line. Pictures of FOOD AFTER THE JUMP!!!!
