I am kind of a big fan of MacHeist.com who puts together (yearly) a pretty well-curated bundle of awesome Mac apps (sorry windozers) from smaller developers for super-cheap. Right now, they have a few sweet programs for FREE over at their site, including WriteRoom (a really cool word processor that hides everything else on your screen, freeing you from distraction), ShoveBox (a sweet note/asset saving application that acts like a scrapbook/to-do list), as well as Twitteriffic and a couple of other cool apps. The more people sign up, the more free stuff gets unlocked, so do it.

Live, from the future! I am on a Virgin America flight from JFK-LAX and am wordpressing from the sky in between helpings of Glenlivet 12 on the rocks. Unfortunately, they don’t carry ABC on the tv’s here so I can’t watch the Lakers/Magic NBA Finals Game 1 and have to resort to @russbengtson and the espn.com coverage.

Hulu works, YouTube works, ichat works, facebook works, i am loving it.

Muji for all my friends: Muji opens an online store

My favorite Japanese sundries retailer Muji has opened an online store. Muji carries a wide selection of simple, unbranded products and is one part Ikea, one part Container store, and one part Gap, and is incidentally where you buy the iconic wall-mounted cd player featured in the trailer for Gary Hustwit’s Objectified.

We’re lucky enough to have a Muji here in Manhattan, but before that, I would have to resort to getting Muji swag at the MoCA store(s) in Los Angeles, or the Muji stores anywhere else in the world. Now I don’t even have to put on pants to shop there.
