went to a sweet old-school BMX bbq out in Glenwood NJ this weekend. Tons of sweet bikes, food, beer, cool people, and a kickturn ramp!

in case you didn’t know, I am old as dirt. here’s me and my buddy nathan shimizu riding street back in the early early 90’s.
my bike now has bob bars and 4 pLegs. I must be living in NY.
also? you can tell that i’m old not only because i rock one fist of seat post, but also because i say things like “one fist”. i mean really it’s not that low if you take into account how tiny the seat tube is, right?
guess what? bikes get dirty in NY. white is the wrong color for this city.

there’s lots of clique-y samey-samey in bmx right now, which is generally snooze-inducing. I see off the wall ish like this coming out of Japan and my faith is restored.
I came home this morning to find that I had left my IM client open and unattended for the past 16 hours. In amongst all the pleading to me to stop drinking and the solicitations for free sex were no less than 3 references to this link.
Is it because they know I like bmx bikes? Is it because they know I like the cars that go boom? Is it because I live in New York?
