So earlier this month I rolled out to LA for the OS-Bmx.com reunion and show. Spent the day drooling at sweet old school bikes, rode in a crazy old-school jam circle, and kicked it with my boy JP, Greyboy and Truly Odd, B-Dubbs, Bauer, and Nuno from Odyssey, some of the kids from the Give-D crew, and aIl kinds of people that I haven’t seen in years and years, both local homies and super pros, from every generation of BMX. It was sweet that all generations of BMX’ers came together and just hung out and had fun embracing the fact that we’re all into these little kids bikes. It’s been covered all over the internetz, but I recently just saw this pic and I was pretty pumped. I was trying to get a picture with Eddie Fiola all day but he was swarmed all day so I was kinda bummed when I couldn’t hook up a pic. I came across this one that Dave Jacobs put up in the news section on Micreation.net and I was stooooked.

Also, notice the Trick Star. Not a track bike stickered up like a Trick Star.
quick video after the jump.

I was looking at the the 2 Wheel Issue of Vapors this month–it’s a pretty cool issue with lots of 2 Wheel coverage (fixed+bmx+mopeds, etc.). One article had streetwear + culture luminaries and their personal rides, and I find out that huf has also got his fixie set up like mine with Hutch Trick Star decals.
Now, I hadn’t seen that he was running this setup at all when I did mine in February. I had a metallic grey fixie frame, I had an extra set of repop Trick Star decals from my 20″ Trick Star build, and some pink deep-v wheels from an earlier bike, and I thought the three would go together well in an DQM x Trackstar/80′s Freestyle bmx style build.

My buddy from LA, Jacob, rolled through Manhattan with his friend Jarod, who blogs on fatlace.com. They were on the east coast for a Drifting Competition this week, we sat around talking bikes and skateboarding and cars and watching Fully Flared.

I’m starting this blog so I can keep the bloggy “i ate a cheese sandwich” stuff off things like my flickr page.
it’s gonna take me a bit of time to get this thing all set up, but I wanted to get started. Gonna start simple and stay simple, but this should evolve a bit over time.
