Shooting in LA, or 1986 meets 2010.

Spent 13 days in LA for the holidays, 9 of which were raining. Managed to ride my bike twice during that whole time (god bless). My last night there, my friend Misha Gravenor (whose professional work is awesome) and I did a last-minute shoot with a 1986 Schwinn Predator Freeform Z, a 2010 Stranger Dream Machine, a bunch of lights, the headlights of an Audi S6, and a costume change or two.
5 Gazillion FPS test
Oton Bačar’s super slow-mo 1000fps and 2000fps motion tests with his 7D and Twixtor got me curious.
Here’s my first go with footage I had laying around. (It’s too cold to go outside.) It’s either a bit like watching paint dry, or very graceful. Take your pick.
dslr days
Got a new camera yesterday, and although it was below freezing (28 degrees Fahrenheit), I was itching to do something with it besides take pictures of the inside of my apartment. Here’s the result.
The Podcast Returns
The smoovebert podcast is back after a 3-year hiatus–the last time I updated it, I was living in friggin Australia, WTF.
New!

couple of things:
1) I am working on a redesign of this site.
2) I am relaunching my podcast.
3) I am looking for a new job.
4) I am dj’ing at Nita Nita tomorrow night in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) at 930pm. I have tons of new music that I’m dying to play, so COME ON DOWN.
